US Outdoor is a very successful retailer of various outdoor recreational products. Two initial phases of this project were developed in Tandem -- A database conversion project, and an Ecommerce solution.
Due to the large size of their inventory, it was first decided to convert data from their exisiting POS application and place it into their new system.
The Ecommerce project immediately followed, pulling inventory from and pushing web orders into their POS application. Business tripled during their first Holiday internet shopping season. While the Holiday season sales figures and volume data is under NDA, let's just say it was "very impressive."
Since the launch of their new site, work has continued, creating enhancements in website functionality, seo (search engine optimization), server maintenance and database development and synchronization.

Chocolate Heaven has the most wonderful chocolate store you've ever seen on the Pier in San Fransisco. They're so good, in fact, that people from all over the country buy chocoloate from them.
Their inventory and in-store sales is provided by Microsoft RMS, a point of sale software product. However, they had no way to put a web site up that sold goods using that RMS database.
We developed a site that syncs up inventory and customer orders with Chocolate Heaven's point of sale software. If they add a product to their in-store database, the site automatically shows it. If a customer makes an web-based order, it shows up in the store, too.
ColdFusion MX with Fusebox and SQL Server 2000 were the technologies used.

phtech provides technology services for the healthcare industry. In colaboration with Sienne Creative, this website was developed with a simple Content Management engine for changing the contents of the site without the worry of FTP or HTML editing.
Several content wizards were also developed to manage more complicated content in such a way as to display multiple entries via templates, like news stories and upcoming events.
A blog was also created, hosted within the site and using the same look/feel as everything else.

Webmap is a web based training site designed to facilitate a medical study based in Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU).
Quite robust in features, this site provides instructional modules to study subjects, gathering statisics via usage patterns, questionairres, and quizzes.
Communication between study subjects and facilitators is built into the site, so everything needed is contained in this site.
A grant is in the works for a second phase of development for this project.
The project is obviously closed to the public, but the front end is accessable at www.webmaponline.com.
Cable Huston was developed in collaboration with G2 Strategic, who provided the marketing and graphic design elements.
Cable Huston's previous site utilized an off-the-shelf CMS engine, and was overly complicated for existing support staff to manage. Using a custom developed content management engine, we made site content management a much easier task.
We also created special web-based tools to manage their list of attorneys and practice areas, including tools to cross reference the two. This made links on the front end of the site automatic, and made content management a much simplier task with fewer broken, outdated or forgotten page links.

NWCA already had a robust point of sale application in place. They used it for orders, inventory, customers -- just about everything. They needed an e-commerce site that would integrate with the existing MS SQL Server database. The beauty of this integration is they would have hardly any additional work to maintain inventory and take orders online. That's where we came in. ColdFusion 5 with Fusebox 3 and SQL Server 2000 were the technologies used.

PDX Gear is Oregon's largest retailer of Oakley products, with a snazzy store in a major shopping mall. Wanting to sell products online, but share the same inventory as their brick-n-mortar store, they needed a way to share their in-store product information - stored in a point-of-sale system - with a new website. We created a client application to synchronize customer orders and product inventory, and a CMS system with a WYSIWYG editor. The website was developed in ColdFusion MX, SQL Server 2000 and Fusebox 3.
Erik had a long relationship with Raytheon Missile Systems, developing internal business applications and providing technology consulting. The details of all projects are under a non-disclosure agreement, and for good reason - Raytheon is a major defense contractor for the US military. The technologies used at Raytheon include Oracle 9i, ColdFusion, and LDAP integration.
Partnering with Pacific Intermedia, we developed the entire business platform for this innovative approach to continuing education. Students of homeopathy can register to take courses online. Courses consist of multiple Real Media streaming movies followed by diagnosis exercises.
In addition to the publicly visible features and functionality, we also developed a robust maintenance system, enabling the online management of everything from user subscriptions to course creation.
After launch, the site was expanded to provide multiple instances with a built-in CMS to manage language translation. Creating another "copy" of this site is now a simple process, and everything runs on the same codebase. The client is free to license the site to other organizations with minimal setup costs and (more importantly) minimal maintenance.
Technologies used include ColdFusion MX, Fusebox 3.0, Macromedia Contribute, Helix Server (Real Media) and SQL Server 2000. We host The Homeopathic Symposium on our servers.
